Through Extended Highways
My best experiences with highways have been when time on them is kept to a minimum. I respect the enthusiasm for people to want to discover amazing glimpses of forgotten highways in the middle of nowhere during road-trips but the thought of being in a car for an extended amount of time is torture for me.
From New York, we’ve driven to both Boston and Washington and each trip has averaged a total of 5 hours which I’ve concluded is the longest I would tolerate being in a car. I prefer to spend more time enjoying the destination and less of the journey yet I’m fond of both when the trip involves taking a plane. Photographing is what kept me sane after the music got dull and the snacks started running out.
