World Unisphere at Flushing Meadow Flushing Meadows Park is one of the largest parks in NYC at 1,255 acres which means there’s always plenty of room to find a quiet spot and relax. For the most part it’s well maintained throughout the year but it’s appearance is highly rejuvenated towards the end of the summer when the US Open is underway. We live 15 minutes away from the park and the reason I ever set foot inside is to bike ride. If lugging your bike is not option, you can always rent one for $10/hr. My wife and I prefer to ride on the weekends because that’s when you’ll see Hispanic food trucks serving delicious steak, beans, rice and salad combo for $9. In case this World Unisphere looks familiar it’s because it it stands in the center of the park and you’ve probably seen it in Will Smith’s earlier films - Men in Black. I’ve began relying more on the iPhone 4 as the only camera to carry during random outings.
