Photo Essays

In it’s truest form, a photo essay is composed of series of photographs who’s intention is to tell a story. As a photographer, I’ve realized if you want to begin seeing the world differently, it’s a great start when you begin appreciating the complexity of ideas or subjects that are important to you.

I’d be remiss if I failed to mention that I’ve been deeply inspired by such respected work from sites like Boston’s The Big Picture & The Guardian’s Eyewitness.

These self-assignments have not only satisfied my curiosity as a photographer but it’s enabled to expand on my writing and the never ending exuse to explore places that I would have never had interest in visiting.

It’s certainly a chance for you to add another level of creativity to your work. You’re the editor and you have total control over what’s conveyed and that in itself is powerful.
